BANGKOK DANGEROUS

I don’t think Bangkok Dangerous is a bad movie. I just wonder how many times the audience can be asked to sympathize with a professional killer as he
searches for the meaning of life. We are all trying to find a greater purpose in our existence on earth, but most of us manage this task without
killing score upon score of other human beings. Nicolas Cage -one of my favorite actors - looks like aging rocker Gene Simmons in this film, that is not a good look. Shahkrit Yamnarm is fine as Cage’s protege and Charlie Yeung is very attractive as the girlfriend. Still, the endless killing is endless – the subject matter is just an example of going to the well once too often.

This a well made film about a topic that has nothing new to say.
We will always have the hooker with the heart of gold and the hitman who gets in touch with God - these are movie cliches that won't ever fade away.

THIS IS A REMAKE OF A 1999 FILM,BY THE SAME NAME.
