ROLE MODELS

Napoleon Dynamite, Superbad, Little Miss Sunshine, McLovin – If these topics don’t ring a bell with you, then “Role Models,” is not for you.
This has all the looks of a fourth rate waste of time. If you can get pass the foul language and gross situations and that is a big IF, this film works very well.

I bought into the characters, especially B. J. Thompson -- YOUNG ROOSTER IN THE MOVIE IDLEWILD and Chris Mintz-Plasse -- McLOVIN IN SUPERBAD, as kids with problems adjusting to the world around them.
These young actors have bright futures ahead of them. They took what looked like a disaster and made it into something worthwhile and uplifting by the final scenes. I enjoyed this profane film; it has a wonderful message about human nature, hidden under all the bluster.

PAUL RUDD AS MISTER DEPRESSION AND SEANN WILLIAM SCOTT AS MISTER
PARTY HARDY ARE EXCELLENT FOR THEIR ROLES.

WHEN THINGS WORK OUT LIKE THIS DOES, THE DIRECTOR DESERVES CREDIT --
David Wain.
