HUGO

THE GOOD -- great acting, great direction, great visual
effects, grand themes about life and
the human spirit.
THE PROBLEM --
1. grade school kids are not the audience for this film, it is over their heads
2. the use of a large dog to chase children and the idea of caging children might be
too raw for kids.
3. the plot of righting a long ago wrong, might not interest teenagers, the
story is slow moving and a long time in the telling
4. adults who don't care about motion picture history won't "get" all the film has to offer.
This is a great film, but it is geared toward people who are students of the art of movie making. It is an adult fantasy, but set in a children's wonderland
environment.
It will work for you if you appreciated the film -- "BIG FISH"
