DIARY OF A MAD BLACK WOMAN

I ENJOYED THIS MOVIE - AND I CAN'T SEE HOW ANYONE WOULD NOT ENJOY THIS MOVIE -- OF COURSE, ANYTIME A "BLACK MOVIE" APPEARS, THERE WILL BE FOLKS WHO ARE UPSET THAT ONE CHARACTER WORE A LOUD SHIRT OR GOT HIGH OR GOT TO WORK LATE --- BUT EVEN THOSE WHO ARE HYPERSENSITIVE SHOULD BE ABLE TO RELAX AND ENJOY THIS VERY POSITIVE FILM - THIS IS NOT A MINSTREL SHOW.
ONE OF THE THINGS I ENJOYED MOST, WAS PICKING UP ON THE FIVE FILMS THAT THEY BORROWED SCENES FROM IN THIS MOVIE -- LOOK FOR:
1 THE COLOR PURPLE -
2 WAITING TO EXHALE -
3 SOUL FOOD -
4 MISERY -
5 AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN

INFLUENCES USED IN THIS FILM.
THIS IS A GOOD NATURED FILM, BUT IT HAS A LOT TO SAY ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS / FAMILY / RELIGION / ROMANCE / MARRIAGE AND SURVIVAL OF BOTH THE BODY AND THE SPIRIT.
I REGRET THAT SO MANY NON AFRICAN AMERICANS WILL MISS THIS PICTURE, UNABLE TO GO TO A "BLACK" FILM, WHILE AFRICAN AMERICANS WILL GO TO BIG FISH AND NOT MISS A GOOD "WHITE' FILM.
NO ONE SHOULD MISS THIS EXCELLENT ROMANTIC COMEDY - IT IS A VERY ENJOYABLE FILM, WITH SOMETHING TO SAY TO US ALL.
THE NAME TYLER PERRY - WRITER, DIRECTOR AND STAR OF THIS FILM, WILL BE BIG, IF THERE IS ANY JUSTICE IN THE ENTERTAINMENT WORLD - HE HAS DONE A GREAT JOB AND THIS IS HIS FIRST TIME OUT OF THE CHUTE.
