IMAGINE THAT

“Imagine That” is a film that you can sit comfortably at home and wait for it to appear on TV.
THE PLOT:
FINANCIAL PLANNER, EDDIE MURPHY, HAS A DAUGHTER WHO CAN TALK TO FAIRYLAND BEINGS AND GET STOCK MARKET TIPS - HER INFANT CRIB BLANKET IS THE KEY TO THIS POWER TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE BEINGS FROM ANOTHER DIMENSION.

The Wall Street part of the storyline won’t interest kids and the security blanket element won’t hold an adult’s interest for very long.
This should have been a one hour show on the Disney Channel.
The scenes repeat themselves – we see the same boardroom meetings and the same dinner scenes, with only a slight change of set decoration. The plan seemed to be to make the story longer for the sole purpose of making the story longer.
Leslie V. Dorham felt the film tried to appeal to adults and children and ended up disappointing both target audiences.
Personal plug: I have to salute actress Vanessa A. Williams, a graduate of
DECATUR JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN BROOKLYN – a school that nurtures talent.
VANESSA PLAYS A FRIEND OF THE MURPHY FAMILY, WHO HAS EVERYONE'S BEST INTEREST AT HEART.

( Vanessa L. Williams was the former Miss America )
