THE MIST

THE MIST IS NOT REALLY A SCIENTIST FICTION PICTURE - THOUGH THAT IS THE WAY IT IS BEING MARKETED.IT IS A POLITICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL DRAMA.
IT IS STEPHEN KING'S VERSION OF THE TWILIGHT ZONE'S CLASSIC STORY, The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street.
THE MIST IS JUST A FLAT OUT WONDERFUL STORY. IT BRINGS THE CHARACTERS TO LIFE. BECAUSE SCIENCE FICTION IS NOT A WELL RESPECTED GENRE IN THE MOVIE WORLD, THIS FILM MAY NOT RECEIVE IT'S PLACE OF HONOR AMONG THE TOP FILMS OF THE YEAR - BUT IT IS A MOVIE THAT CONNECTS WITH THE AUDIENCE AND THE AUDIENCE IS EVERYONE.
I WAS UNABLE TO FIGURE OUT THE AUDIENCE FOR LIONS FOR LAMBS AND BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOWS YOU'RE DEAD.
THE MIST IS AIMED AT EVERYONE WHO INTERACTS WITH THEIR NEIGHBORS AND THAT IS MOST OF US.
IF I WROTE THE BAD THINGS ABOUT THE MIST OR THE THINGS THAT DID NOT WORK TO MOVE THE AUDIENCE -- I WOULD HAVE A BLANK PAGE.
GO SEE THE MIST -- IF YOU ARE DISAPPOINTED -- TRUST ME -- THE FAULT LIES NOT IN THE STARS, BUT IN YOURSELF - THIS IS JUST A HARDCORE, ROCK SOLID, DOWN TO EARTH, GOOD MOVIE.I
HAVE ONE MORE OBSERVATION TO ADD -- I HATED THE LITTLE BOY IN THE STORY. IF I HAD A VOTE, THEY WOULD KILL HIM BEFORE THE OPENING CREDITS - THEY WOULD KILL HIM WHEN THE PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT TO TURN OFF YOUR CELL PHONE IS MADE.
I THOUGHT I ONLY HATED ONE CHILD ACTOR, DAKOTA FANNING, BUT THIS WIMPY KID MAKES HER LOOK LIKE MERYL STREEP.
THE MIST HAS TO BE A FINE PICTURE, IT OVERCAME THIS KID'S PITIFUL CHARACTER -- DON'T JUDGE ME TO HARSHLY, UNTIL YOU SEE THIS GUTLESS KID FOR YOURSELF AND IMAGINE TAKING HIM HOME WITH YOU AND YOU TOO WILL WANT TO SEE HIM PACK FOR AN EARLY DEPARTURE TO The undiscovered country from whose bourn No traveller returns.
