SHOOTER
THE PLOT IS PRETTY STANDARD SINCE NOVEMBER 22, 1963. AN INNOCENT MAN IS FRAMED FOR THE ASSASSINATION OF A HIGH LEVEL POLITICAL FIGURE. THE BEST OF THESE MIGHT BE, DAY OF THE JACKAL -- NOT THE PIECE OF TRASH THAT BRUCE WILLIS WAS FEATURED IN, BUT THE ORIGINAL MASTERPIECE WITH EDWARD FOX AS THE KILLER. FOX WAS NOT INNOCENT, BUT THE STORY BECAME THE TEMPLATE FOR THE MANY SUCH TALES THAT FOLLOWED. MARK WAHLBERG DOES A FINE JOB IN A FILM THAT WILL MAKE YOU RECALL THE BOURN IDENTITY AND THAT IS A VERY PLEASANT MEMORY TO CONTEMPLATE, IF YOU ENJOY ACTION AND ADVENTURE, WITH AN INTELLIGENT PLOT TO GIVE IT ALL MEANING. MARK IS A WAR HERO, FRAMED BY DANNY GLOVER -- THEY TELL YOU THIS IN THE MOVIE'S COMING ATTRACTION - THE STORY IS HOW CAN MARK PROVE HE IS NOT GUILTY. IF YOU ARE BOTHERED BY BLOODSHED, SKIP THIS ONE THE LAST TIME I SAW THIS MANY PEOPLE KILLED IN A MOTION PICTURE, THE STORY CONCERNED NORMANDY AND THE DATE WAS JUNE 6, 1944. THIS MOVIE IS WELL DONE, BUT THE WEAKNESS IS THAT WE HAVE SEEN THIS SAME PLOT SO MANY TIMES. LADIES, DROP THE GUYS OFF AT THIS ONE AND GET SOME PRODUCTIVE SHOPPING DONE, UNLESS YOU ARE AS INTO MACHO FANTASIES AS THE MEN..
