THE ENTIRE TITLE IS -- TALLADEGA NIGHTS: THE BALLAD OF RICKY BOBBY.
I CAN'T STAND BARRY BONDS. THAT HAS NOT CHANGED, BUT I ALSO DID NOT HAVE ANY USE FOR WILL FERRELL, THAT HAS CHANGED.
AFTER SEEING HIS WORK IN BLADES OF GLORY AND TALLADEGA NIGHTS, I HAVE TO TAKE HIS NAME OFF MY LIST. HE DOES WHAT JIM CARREY DOES, BUT FERRELL DOES IT BETTER.
THERE SEEMS TO BE SOME SORT OF SINCERITY IN THE CHARACTERS THAT FERRELL PLAYS - THE CHARACTERS SEEM TO BE REAL, INSANE, BUT REAL.
WHILE IN CARREY'S HANDS, THE SAME BASIC CHARACTERS FOREVER
REMAIN CARTOONS.
I RENTED THIS DVD AND FOUND IT TO BE WELL WRITTEN, UNPREDICTABLE AND MUCH DEEPER THAN IT WOULD APPEAR IN THE PROMOTIONAL TRAILER.
I FEEL STRANGE WRITING THIS, BUT THIS IS A FINE FILM AND THE ACTORS DO A WONDERFUL JOB --
GARY COLE IS BETTER WITH AGE - HIS BEST WORK IS HERE AND IN THE CULT CLASSIC - OFFICE SPACE.
MICHAEL CLARKE DUNCAN CAN NEVER GET A ROLE TO EQUAL THE GREEN MILE PRISONER, BUT HE WAS GOOD IN THIS FILM.
JOHN C. REILLY OF CLINTON HILL IN BROOKLYN, IS ALWAYS WONDERFUL.
SACHA BARON COHEN WAS EXCELLENT IN CREATING HIS FOREIGN NASCAR DRIVER.
JANE LYNCH WAS A WOMAN WHO RULED WITH AN IRON HAND, WHEN DEALING WITH HER GRANDKIDS.
THE TWO BOYS WHO PLAYED FERRELL'S SONS HAD VERY WELL WRITTEN ROLES AND REALLY ADD A LOT TO THE MOOD OF THE FILM AS THEIR CHARACTERS MATURE BEFORE YOUR EYES.
I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY WILL GET AS MUCH AS I GOT OUT OF THIS
LOW BROW FILM, BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD RENTAL.
YOU MIGHT NOT WANT FOLKS TO KNOW YOU LIKED IT, BUT THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE, YOU WILL LIKE IT.
