WANTED

I was prepared to label "Wanted," as an offspring of "The Matrix," but a fellow critic mentioned "Crank' as a contributor to the DNA of this film and I have to agree. I enjoyed both films and after a slow start, "Wanted" began to show the family resemblance. The use of foul language was over-done early in the film, but that seemed to fade after awhile. James McAvoy is hardly someone you would think of as an action hero, but his slow and tortuous transformation is at the core of the plot. "Wanted' is pedal to the metal, full speed ahead, no holds barred adventure, if you are not in the market for that, avoid it, if that is your preference, embrace it. Morgan Freeman and Terrence Stamp ( in a small role ) add intellect, class and style to the physical feats of daring do.

I FIND ANGELINA JOLIE TO MOST OFTEN BE A DISTRACTION - SHE IS EITHER GIVEN PARTS NO ONE COULD PLAY VERY WELL OR
SHE CAN’T RISE ABOVE HER OWN PERSONA AND FAME AND BECOME THE CHARACTER THE ROLE REQUIRES.

HERE SHE DOES VERY WELL – I STILL SAID HER NAME EVERYTIME SHE WAS IN A SCENE, BUT SHE DOES GREAT WORK IN HER
SCENES AND HER LAST SCENE IS THE ESSENCE OF ALL THAT HER CHARACTER BELIEVED IN – THE MEANING OF WHAT SHE DOES
AND WHY, MAY ESCAPE MANY IN THE AUDIENCE, IF THEY DID NOT PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT SHE SAID EARLIER IN THE FILM.
