GREEN LANTERN

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are likeable actors, Peter Sarsgaard is a very competent actor.
These three people did the best they could to overcome the central weakness of this tale of "The Green Lantern."
It is a red flag to have seven names listed as writers on this project.
The story is very erratic ( having no fixed course : wandering ). I always felt this film was not the tremendous movie it could have been.
I don't think anyone will call it great and I can't call it very good; it is okay and that is
not a ringing endorsement of a $150 million production.
I can envision the second edition being more focused and a much better film.
One glaring weakness was a enemy that was not realistic to the audience - we
really had no one for the Green Lantern to battle in the traditional mano a mano style of hero versus villain.
I HAVE TO WRITE IN CAPITAL LETTERS THAT SEEING THE BEAUTIFUL
ANGELA BASSETT IN EVEN A BRIEF ROLE, WAS A HIGHLIGHT FOR ME -- SHE CAN HOLD THAT SCREEN AGAINST ANYONE PLAYING A SCENE WITH HER - SHE IS A GEM.
