This is the theory - a packed movie theater parking lot, at an early weekday show, means the public has voted the film a hit without seeking the advice of critics.
I attended a noon showing of "The Watch" and I was the only person in the theater - 239 empty seats shared the film with me. I kept my cell phone on, who could it annoy? There is a laugh here and there in this film, but it seems to be a jumble of story lines thrown together with good actors to produce a show you will soon see on television for a lot less money.
I find it almost impossible to believe that anyone will be talking about this film to their friends;it is basically a high school skit on film.
I did not hate it, I just did not care about any element of the story.
