STAR TREK

I always liked the imagination of the original “Star Trek” episodes I saw on television over 40 years ago.
This film does justice to the legacy of William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy.
The story of a terrorist attack against Earth is just a back drop for a love story. The love and respect that people thrown together develop when each one holds a key to the survival of the others.
The gadgets, scientific theories and battles are excellent, but it is the appreciation of the majesty of the human spirit that elevates this movie to higher ground.
The casting is perfect.
Long time fans will enjoy waiting for their favorite catch phrases and mannerisms – they are all there for the true “trekkies.”
When it ended, I could not think of how it could have been better – that is not a common occurrence.
At last, a film that lives up to the hype.
