SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN

This film is difficult to review; there is a negative element  for every positive feature.   
Two negatives: Kristen Stewart is in over her head as Snow White and the film drags in several spots.
The positives: Charlize Theron is outstanding as the evil queen. Chris Hemsworth (coming off "Thor")  is the right man for his featured role. The scenery & special effects are among the best I have ever experienced.  
The casting of great European actors as the Seven Dwarfs was a wonderful decision, they really lifted this film to a higher level. Their faces were superimposed on the bodies of smaller men.
 They gave the movie an emotional appeal that most large scale productions lack; I am giving the film three stars because of their terrific contribution.  They gave soul to what could have been a very ordinary movie.
