IN THE SPIRIT OF NEPOTISM, I ASKED ANGELA THOMAS OF MAULDIN MIDDLE SCHOOL AND FRANKIE THOMAS OF BELL'S CROSSING, TO HELP
GRANDDAD OUT WITH THIS FILM FOR MY WEEKLY NEWSPAPER REVIEW.
THEIR OPINION WAS THAT THE FILM WAS SAILING ALONG AS NOTHING MORE THAN AVERAGE STORY TELLING. THEN, AS IF BY MAGIC, THE MOVIE BECAME SPECIAL IN THE LAST FEW MINUTES. ALL THE PIECES SEEM TO COME TOGETHER IN A SONG, SUNG BY JESSE McCARTNEY, AS THE CHARACTER, JOJO.
McCARTNEY, WHO IS WELL KNOWN TO THE KIDS FROM HIS TELEVISION WORK ON THOSE TEENAGE
SITUATION COMEDIES.
THEY WERE BOTH SURPRISED AND PLEASED WITH THE MOVIE, ESPECIALLY THE JOYFUL CONCLUSION AND UPLIFTING MESSAGE THAT ALL LIVING BEINGS SHOULD BE APPRECIATED.
